Spots to the larp will be assigned through a lottery. Some spots will be given to players who are helping us create this larp. By October 13th you will know whether you got a spot at the larp or not.

You will get a full refund if you have to cancel your participation before March 31th. Cancellations between April 1st and April 20th will get a 50% refund. If you cancel your participation from April 21th onward you will get no refund.

Providing us with a doctor’s note will always grant you a full refund, no matter how close to the larp you have to drop out.

Information and transparency

This homepage contains all information about the setting and fiction of the larp. Future send outs will consist of characters and practical information.

The larp is fully transparent and all characters will be available to all players. You can choose to what extent you want to read other characters than your own. All information about the larp is at this homepage and in future send outs. There will be no surprises, scenes, events or extra content from the organizers.

Location

The location is in Gothenburg and local trafic can take you within 10 minutes of walk to the location.

We will have a few in-game rooms for sleeping so we can accommodate for different sleeping needs, as well as off-game rooms for sleeping for those who need that, and the location has a shower. We will have access to two floors in the building and the lower floor will be in-game, while the upper floor will be off-game. The location is wheelchair accessible and both stairs and an elevator connect the two floors to each other. The location is alcohol- and smoke-free. Free parking is available nearby.

Photography

There will be no photography during the larp. After the larp has ended you will be able to take photos of yourself and each other. We will leave the set up for this purpose. There will be a camera you are allowed to borrow at the location. Pictures taken from the camera, and the ones you wish to share with us, will be shared in private with all participants where you can remove pictures of yourself. Pictures shared with, and approved by, all participants may be used by Foxtrot larps for promotion and marketing purposes in the future.

Please do not publish pictures taken from your own camera of people you have not gotten explicit consent from.

Expectations on players

  • Read the homepage and make sure you understand the vision and practical vision of the game and that you are comfortable with the themes and physical experience.
  • All information about the larp and the world can be found on the homepage. We expect you to read it and understand the background for the game.
  • We expect you to read your character. There will be time to talk to relations before the game, but you are welcome to talk to relations beforehand if they want to.
  • We expect you to be on time
  • Contact us if you have any questions, worries or there is anything you think we should know
  • Provide us with an email-address where you can be reached within a reasonable time

  • Treat everyone with respect

What to bring

There are a few things we advise you to bring to this larp. During the game time your character will have all their belongings in a bag (or equivalent solution) as no one has a private room in the fiction. In general remember that the aesthetics of the larp is closer to our own modern times than space operas or cyberpunk. There will be a place you can store your off game items during the larp. Everything electric has stopped working on Aniara, but all other modern things from today are appropriate. We do not want you to bring any games, dice or cards to pass the time with in-game. There will be similar things on the set we want you to engage with.

Things we advise you to bring:

  • Comfortable clothing in the spirit of the costume guide (link)
  • A bag for your in-game items
  • Sleeping gear as explained here (link)
  • Sleeping mask and/or earplug if you need it.
  • Small mementos, photos or similar of a loved one
  • Hygiene products
  • Any medication you need

Techniques and safety

Meta-techniques that will be used at this larp are "Off game" to communicate between players and not characters, "Tap out" to de-escalate, "Look down" to move away from play, or into play, without being questioned about it, and realistic-looking meta-techniques for sex. These will all be presented during the workshops before the larp. All other physical interactions during the game will be "what you see is what you get", meaning a hug is a hug and a kiss is a kiss. There will be time during the workshops to talk to your co-players about comfort levels, but we expect our players to be comfortable with being hugged or yelled at by fellow players.

Violence of any kind towards other characters are not part of this larp and are prohibited during the event, and therefore we won't have a technique for violence. The only violence allowed is the one you can inflict ON YOURSELF. You may kick, hit, whip, bite or whatever yourself as much as you want, but you may NOT ask someone else to harm you.

Coercion, oppression or abuse is not a part of this larp and its themes. You can leave any scene or activity you as a player feel uncomfortable with. You will always be in control of what happens to your body. Play on any kind of sexual or erotic content is purely opt-in and requires consent.

Players are responsible for themselves and their wellbeing. We expect players to eat, sleep and take breaks when needed. We will have an off-game area where you can go if you need to, and there will always be an organizer available if you need someone to talk to, but we will not have a designated safety team.

Alcohol and drugs are forbidden during the event, and players who are drunk or on drugs will be removed from the game site.
